St. Marcellinus Spirit XC Invite

1st Annual Cross Country Meet --- Wednesday, September 24, 2008

This event will be capped at 1200. 
(Park officials have insisted on restrictions to the number of visitors.)
Entries close Sunday, Sept. 21, at noon unless cap is reached earlier.  
Also because of the complications inherent in electronic timing, post entries and changes will
be handled quite simply - there won't be any. 
Fellow Cross Country Coaches,
You are invited to the Inaugural St. Marcellinus SPIRIT Cross Country Meet.  
The race will be a part of the Golden Horseshoe Cross Country series this
year and will run in week #2 of the series.  EACH RACE WILL BE INTRODUCED WITH BAGPIPES! 
Our meet will include electronic timing using ankle bracelets.  Running spikes must be no longer
than 7mm. 
  
This meet offers an excellent opportunity for runners to compete on a fast course 
consisting of gravel paths and grass.  The course includes at least one hill.

Entry Fees:	
	The entry fee is $7.00 per competitor to a maximum of $200.00 per school.  
	All cheques should be made payable to St. Marcellinus Secondary School.

Coaches Meeting10:00 am.
Midget Girls 3.0  km.10:30 am.
Midget Boys 5.0 km.11:00 am.
Junior Girls 4.0 km.11:45 pm.
Junior Boys 6.0 km. 12:15 pm.
Senior Girls 5.0 km.1:00 pm.
Senior Boys 7.0 km. 1:45 pm.

Scoring: The placing of the top four runners will determine each team's score. In the event of a tie, it shall be resolved in favour of the team whose fourth runner finished nearer to first place. Entries: Go to entry form at right

Awards:

Individual: T-shirts will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in each race.
Team: The winning team (4 runners) in each age category will also receive t-shirts.

Facilities: There are limited washroom facilities available
