2nd Annual Cross Country Meet

Fellow Cross Country Coaches,
WELCOME to the 3d Annual St. Marcellinus Bagpipe Classic Cross Country Meet. 
The race will be a part of the Golden Horseshoe Cross Country series this
year and will run in week #2 of the series.   EACH RACE WILL BE INTRODUCED WITH BAGPIPES and WILL FINISH WITH A DRUMLINE  
 
This meet offers an excellent opportunity for runners to compete on a fast
course consisting of gravel paths and grass.  The course includes at least
one hill. (Approximately 3 of the 7km of the JB & SB race are on a gravel path,
so racing flats may be the recommended choice!)

Our meet will include electronic timing using ankle bracelets.   ***ALL COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EACH OF THEIR ATHLETES� TIMING DEVICE AND SCHOOLS WILL BE BILLED FOR ANY BRACELET THAT IS LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED!!!*** 

Running spikes must be no longer than 7mm.

Entry Fees:
The entry fee is $8.00 per competitor NO MAXIMUM!!! However each additional competitor
above 32 will be charged only $4. EG: 40 kids - 32 x 8 = 256 + 8 x 4 =32 Total $288 
All cheques should be made payable to St. Marcellinus Secondary School.

Coaches Meeting10:00 am.
Midget Girls 3.0  km.10:30 am.
Midget Boys 5.0 km.11:00 am.
Junior Girls 4.0 km.11:45 pm.
Junior Boys 6.0 km. 12:15 pm.
Senior Girls 5.0 km.1:00 pm.
Senior Boys 7.0 km. 1:45 pm.

Scoring: The placing of the top four runners will determine each team's score. In the event of a tie, it shall be resolved in favour of the team whose fourth runner finished nearer to first place.

Awards:

Individual: T-shirts will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in each race.
Team: The winning team (4 runners) in each age category will also receive t-shirts.

Facilities: There are limited washroom facilities available
